Lower income working people get back more than they pay in income taxes. It's like a kickback for working. The ones with children probably get can get up to 4 or 5 thousand back now. The doctors are quick to be blamed when others see this type of behavior from pain clinic patients. And yes, people do abuse the pain clinics. Those that do make it harder on those of us who need relief to be able to lead a productive life. Am I afraid of what the future holds for me? You bet. The DEA makes the family doctors afraid to write the prescriptions, and everybody wants to shut down the clinics. While I wouldn't wish anyone to have the pain I do on a permanent basis, it wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit to let someone who wants to shut the clinics down to have it for just a couple months.
