They served the poorest of the poor in the Western hemisphere. They did not give away their care for free, because they knew they would soon be overwhelmed with the increased demand. So, they charged a measly one gourd in cash for visits, which wasn't a lot, but many of their patients only made 500-1000 gourd per year, so it did mean something. They were still busy, but not overwhelmed, and the patients shared in the cost somewhat. The vet recommended a new food for my dog's bad hips/knees and it's worked very well. Also, they cleaned her teeth and removed some moles. Not only did they remove the moles that I requested, but they removed the moles all over her body saved a big scary one for biopsy later. The price was very reasonable. I will be going back. This clinic is a high turn-over business and they're always, always busy, so I think you have to take that into consideration when you go...
