Did you know that May is National Physiotherapy Month? This month is as they go. I could see clearly later that day and I am so thrilled with my incredible Vision Insurance is hardly comprehensive these days, no matter who your employer is so I know that I will be spending good money out of pocket for contacts or glasses. I have no problem with that. I've put away money in my flexible spending account just for that reason. But if I make an effort to address my concern about cost to the Dr. before the exam and that I would like to be fitted with contacts that are not going to break my bank, I would expect them listen. For example, Dr. Hoang would fit me in contacts and go on and on about its features, but would avoid answering the questions about how much the contacts cost. He would stress that these contacts would be the best for my prescription. So how can I ask to be fitted with something less expensive if he won't tell me the cost of the ones he placed in my eyes???? So I walk up to the front desk to pay for everything because I'm not getting anywhere with Dr. Hoang, and low in behold the contacts are outrageous and the price is only for 6 months worth not a full year. I say to the assistant that I can't pay that and I'd like to be fitted with something less expensive. She then tells me I will have to pay a fee for more fittings and the contacts that are placed my eyes because they can't take them back. I told them if I was given the information about the cost of the contacts before they were placed in my eyes, then there wouldn't be an issue. Long story short, I was scammed into getting the expensive contacts but I damn well got my prescription from Dr. Hoang so that I can get the contacts from an online warehouse at a reduced cost.
