I went to see an eye doctor later on today since my eyes were hurting and since I had discharge in my eyes for the last few days. I wasn't sure if it was related. This doctor however diagnosed me with a bacterial infection and not a viral one. She said that a viral infection would result in teary eyes whereas if I had a lot of mucus which I do and discharge that it was an indication for a bacterial infection.
