Scary neighborhood & no parking but wonderful people and service - I took my two new puppies in to have their first check up last week. Even though I had a hard time getting to the location due to construction I was able to get there. The was not enough parking and I ended up parking on the street behind the clinic. The neighborhood made me a little uneasy but once I got inside the clinic it was clean, nice and the staff was great. In less than 5 minutes I was being seen and my puppies treated. The staff was wonderful in giving me instructions and answering all of my questions. And all told, I had both of my puppies given their shots, a prescription written (and filled) for one of my puppies, had their nails clipped and bought their flea medication for one month (for both puppies) all at a cost of only $90.00. This is an amazing place and makes the costs associated with owning a pet so much easier. My previous vet charged me $150.00 for one visit for one puppy for one set of shots and all of the same things I listed above. To think that I was able to get two puppies treated for almost half that price is amazing. Don't let the neighborhood scare you off.....it is well worth it and you will save a lot more money, much better than spending it all on vet bills. He took the initiative, and had me come in to his clinic, and arranged for an exceptional Endodontist, Dr Roberto Hernandez to attend me sight unseen. I'm giving five stars, despite a couple of misgivings, because in general, as urgent care clinics go, it really was good. Went on a Saturday afternoon, took me a while to get seen (two PA's on duty, no docs), even though no one was in the waiting room but me. The nursing assistant (or whatever) was a little flaky (couldn't figure out the blood pressure machine) and ended up letting me sit in the exam room for way too long (I think she forgot me). The PA who examined me was very thorough, I was given a chest xray (on site), and the other PA took a look at my file as well (ruling out pneumonia). Had to wait for a radiologist to verify the xray, during which waiting period I was to be given a breathing treatment (that was when I waited and waited for someone to come in). Once the treatment was done, and a sufficient pulsox number recorded, I was released. They were to call in two prescriptions (that took a little too long, and ended up happening after pharmacy hours, unfortunately, so I had to wait until the next day to get them). So, yeah, some misgivings, but overall not a bad experience (very friendly front desk staff, respectful and courteous staff overall, clean facilities).
