I had a swollen sore knee and went in to have it X-rayed. It took about 1.5 hours. The doctor was pleasant enough. She suggested a brace or an elastic bandage and crutches. They did not have the right size brace, so the nurse wrapped my knee with an elastic bandage, and suggested I call back the next day to see if their supplier will have smaller size braces delivered. the crutches are not an option as I have to go up and down stairs. Needless to say, no brace before a holiday weekend, and a suggestion from the front desk guy was to call my doctor on Monday for follow-up. CareWell did not live up to its name. She continued to inform me that urgent care is different then regular visits. I shared with her I work for one of the largest hospitals in the Houston area and I do insurance for them on a daily basis. I asked to be billed because I would not be responsible for that. She replied stating that they do not do payment plans for my copay amount. I also shared that I had an HSA card and if I were to pay with that I would infact have to deal with the headache of trying to get my refund from them. The lady behind the desk by no means was concerned with patient care, only with obtaining the money. We visited this place once before and had a wonderful experience with my 3 year old little boy. This time they just seemed so money hungry. They lost a patient over a small copay amount, and a lifetime of visits since we live right around the corner. I emailed the corporate email and didn't hear anything back, so now I am posting the review. This place in money centered, not patient care minded. Lost my business and my families.
