When my border collie had a rare cancer, Dr. Diamond was quick and honest to tell me he needed to be put down as he was not treatable and in great distress (cancer had destroyed urinary tract so fast..they could not even get a cat cathether in to relieve the poor dog). Another doctor there (a sub...NOT Dr. Diamond) had a few days back misdiagnosed my dog with a urinary tract infection and extended the dog's suffering needlessly....but Dr. Diamond saw the issue as soon as I brought the dog back. He did not ask for a lot of needless tests (just the bare minimum necessary to confirm his diagnosis) and I had my dog put down the same day and felt very comfortable with the diagnosis. Solid. Not the usual taking advantage of a terminal pet to milk owner. Felt relieved to see how he was straightforward and clear about the need to euthanize. Left me with no doubts, which was what I needed. I felt I could trust him.
