I am absolutely convinced that this was my punishment for questioning the charge - which incidentally included $100 for a five-minute exam ($9600 per eight hour day) and $80 to insert a catheter. He told me, when I raised the quote I had received, that he worked multiple clinics and his charge was pretty standard, and that what I was quoted was clearly only a part of what I would have been charged.
