Again, the groomers refer me to Dr. Kang and tell me they will take care of the bill. I tell Dr. K the groomers will take care of it again. This time Dr. K tells me it's an eye irritation. That it was possible that during grooming that it could happen and that if the eye heals quickly (this part is the key phrase), it most likely was from something getting into the eye during grooming. He agreed it was most likely the case, so they continued with the testing and they had to flush out his eye (I remember him flushing out my pets eye last time). This time they charge me over $300. They told me they wanted to do a follow up, just to be sure and they had to run a couple of other tests to make sure it wasn't something inherent. Got it. So, I contact the groomers(Paw Prints Salon) and they were taken back by the charges and all of sudden they didn't want to take care of the bill. Now this is the part that starts getting shady...They tell me had to talk to Dr. Kang 1st before they could give me my reimbursement. So, I waited a day and the next day, I get a call from the groomers and they tell me they're only covering half?! I asked them why half and they tell me that after talking to Dr. K that there was no proof it could have happened there and they were not liable but to be fair, they were only covering half...my dog didn't have issues before but when I pick him up, he has a shut eye. Ok, not your fault?Really? So, I called Dr. K back and I asked him why he would say that based off of all the evidence and facts and what he told me. I find out during our conversation that he knows the owner and all the groomers because he takes his own dog there. So, everything started to make sense. I asked him why he was being very biased all of a sudden because the day before what he told me was very different. He started to give me a lot of attitude and told me he didn't want to be stuck in the middle of this. I told him I was going to take my pet while his eye was still an issue to get another professional opinion. All of a sudden his tone changes and he tells me he's willing to talk to the owner again for me. I was like ok but I want you to give him your HONEST opinion of what could've transpired and that you told me it was possible. He agrees and tells me to give him a couple days to sort it out with the owner and that he would return my phone call. I wait a couple days and no return phone call, so I decided to give him a call. I call him and politely ask if he talked to the owner and right away he starts giving me attitude and telling me he doesn't want to get involved and that its not in his best interest to say anything. I was really taken back at this point because he told me, the other day that he would help me out and talk to the owner and all of a sudden he didnt want to do anything. Long story short, he was obviously in deep with the owner, I'm sure the groomers told him they wouldn't refer business to him anymore if continued to give an honest opinion.
