I took my kitty to a Another Vet, and they said they did not see any current reason to test for FIV or leukemia. They said they would follow up the next day and that they would obtain his healthr records from OMHS, but never did. A few days later, the kitty was still lethargic, and my roommate encouraged me to take him back to Another Vet. That vet said a quick follow-up would be $70, so I figured I might as well get a second opinion. I took my kitty to Dr. Bonder at the Downtown Toronto Cat Clinic, because it it a cat-only vet. She immediately picked up on some symptoms the other vet had missed. Specifically, that his gums were pale and that he felt very skinny. She was very knowledgeable regarding the various humane societys in the GTA.....she knew that the Toronto Humane Society does test for FIV and feline leukemia, wheres Oakville and Milton does not.
