I was also happy to not walk out with new medications, again in contrast to some other physicians who think people won't think they are doing anything if they aren't prescribing medication. What I was most impressed with was Dr.Ungerer's communication skills. She listened to my concerns and followed through accordingly. She also thoroughly reviewed my cat's records. When I would begin to tell here about an issue, she was already fully aware of the details and repeated the issue back to me. I could tell she had a full grasp of the situation. Dr. Ungerer was knowledgeable about urinary issues in cats and laid out a treatment plan that would be the least stressful for my cat and me, given our recent history. For instance, she gave my cat long lasting medications via injection so I would not have to hand medicate, which was a HUGE relief! The exam was relatively quick.
