So now Burzynski clinic has been paid twice. They charged me $4,550.00 for absolutely nothing, and they tell me that i am a new patient and it will be a long time before they will reimburse me. LeeAnn - who is incredibly rude - is in charge of billing and she says they reimburse 100,000.00 every month and i am at the bottom of the list. It has been two and a half months. no reimbursement. I did schedule with the Dr and did contact urgent care who abruptly told me that unless I was an established patient I wasn't going to be seen. Seemed odd but I let that go as a lack of info shared with the appointment clerks. 5 weeks pass and I had spaced the appt. remembering about 25 mins before the appt I called and informed them I might be 15 mins late. I was curtly told that I will be automatically cancelled at 20 mins late and charged a $50 fee for a missed appt. I asked if they send appt reminders as I had to wait 5 weeks to get the appt and she said yes they usually send a letter and a reminder call...I had received neither. At this point I had made the decision to stop the process of becoming a patient. There were too many signs of problems for me to continue. Two days later I received a curt letter telling me if I missed 3 appts during a 12 month cycle of a year I would be terminated as a patient.(fair enough).Interesting they were Johnny on the spot to admonish but not contact a new patient prior with their policy of sending a welcome letter and phone call reminder. I would suggest staying away from this place. The two stars are for the initial clerk I spoke to who was professional.
