I was sitting there astonished because I am a registered nurse who worked at an emergency dept through Multicare, and chest pain is NEVER pushed aside... CAB's (circulation, airway, breathing). So I had to ask the front desk person if they knew I had chest pain or not. She said she wasn't aware, implied that it wasn't her fault because she just came back from lunch I asked well did you get report from the person covering you? Nope, she didn't. She finally disappeared and told somebody who then came and grabbed me and put me in a room. It took an hour to finally get seen by a doctor (Who spoke with me for 30 seconds to determine if I am actively having a heart attack, then quickly dismissed me asking if I thought it might be a strain muscle? Really? A strained muscle? I know the difference. I have crepitus in my chest. The pain is worse upon supine positioning. I have referred pain that extends to my left shoulder blade tip.
