My previous doctor in another state said I needed to keep up with certain medications but unfortunately my prescription ran out. So I hit the floor one day. That same day my grandmother rushed me to the hospital. The staff pissed me off, wouldn't let me in for a walkin tho three other walkins were allowed after me. I could barely stand on my own, I'm 21 and had to have my 65 yr old grandmother with 2 chronic illnesses support me into the clinic. And they wouldn't let me walkin till the next day. I had to take 2 days of my holiday/sick time off which I was trying to save for a vacation in a few months just to be seen by the doc. I'm new to the area so I don't know any other places. When I was finally allowed there, I waited almost an hr, crying because of my intense pain. I told the nurse when she finally showed up. It was the white nurse even tho there were two Non-white nurses sitting and chatting it up amongst themselves without paying me mind. my mom had to bug them 3 times befor they finally called the white nurse to get me. Thats more than rude. I have never done anything racist to anyone intentionally to deserve that. The nurse finally pulled me back there, asked me questions and I kept telling her it's my ovaries. I already know. Had this problem before. They tested me for appendicitis, UTI, and pregnancy only. Didn't even try to test or X-ray my ovaries. All I got were some antibiotics that don't work unless I have a headache. And basically that was that. I asked for a dr's note so I can prove I was at the dr so I don't lose my job and basically had to beg them for that. I eventually got my lab test submitted. The doc told me that I would get results in 2-3 business days. After 4 weeks of not hearing from anyone (not even a letter!) about the lab results, I decided to call myself. I got the complete runaround and was promised calls back which never happened. I finally had to call AGAIN and finally got my results.
