I asked both on the phone prior to arriving and again at the check-in desk how the bill would be covered since they are out of network with all insurers. Both times I was told they only collect a regular ER co-pay and then bill the insurance company for whatever they can, but I wouldn't see any additional bills. I had no problem believing this since I had surgery at an out-of-network facility that worked the same way and they never did bill me for any uncovered amounts. This was definitely a bold faced lie. I paid a $175 co-pay at check-in, and received 3 different bills a few months later in the mail totaling an additional $425 for my hour length visit. Had I gone to a regular hospital, I probably would have waited longer, but my insurance would have picked up everything after the co-pay. Never again. (And to keep me from getting sued- I am NOT a doctor and this is just an oppinion).
